The amount of the bursary
The amount of the bursary will be approximately JPY 50,000 (e.g. Asia) - 150,000 (e.g. Africa).
Please note that the entire travel expenses may not be covered.
The registration and accommodation fees of the awardees will be waived.
Qualifications for applicants
Applicants must satisfy all the requirements below:
- Aged 40 or younger *as of September 3, 2026
- Ready to present a poster at the forum
- Be able to attend all programs
*Please note that Japanese scientists living outside of Japan and foreign scientists living in Japan are NOT eligible.
Accommodation
Awardees are requested to stay at a hotel arranged by the forum.
AIFII will arrange accommodation for three nights, checking in on August 31 and checking out on September 3.
If you are staying longer, you need to arrange & pay for additional nights.

Please fill in the form below and submit an abstract through the abstract submission system by June 10, 12:00 JST.
While filling in the form, you need to upload:
- CV (free format)
- Recommendation letter by your academic supervisor or the department head (free format)
Notice of Acceptance
Application documents are evaluated by AIFII2026 Committee, and the results will be notified to the applicants at the end of June.
